Principal's Message

As the new principal of Del Oro, I want to welcome new and returning Del Oro Suns! My name is Dr. Brandi Ball, and I have 24 years of education experience with the Kern High School District. I am both honored and excited to be serving the Del Oro community in this role as we continue to move forward into the new school year with strength, unity, nurturing, and service (SUNS) as our guiding principles. We will continue to build upon the foundation of innovation, collaboration, restorative practices, and the three instructional pillars (guaranteed viable curriculum, tier I instruction, disciplinary literacy). 

We are excited for this upcoming school year as Del Oro welcomes a new cohort of incoming freshmen and our first senior class. While we continue to grow, our mission and vision remain the same--

Mission

The mission of Del Oro High School is to empower students to embrace learning in a way that promotes collaboration, encourages resiliency and inspires the student's voice and belief in themself so that failure is not feared but recognized as an opportunity for limitless growth and success.

Vision

Del Oro students will graduate prepared for their future in college and/or career by engaging in an inclusive instruction program, seeking help from a supportive staff, and gaining life experiences through meaningful engagement with community partners.
